none of the mini-missions are soloable, all of the mini-missions are frickin hard. From what I hear..

There was just a broadcast that the emperor will arive in 15 minutes (next full hour).

Uhm, there are no rifts in Tsumei Village oO
Unless you're talking about one of the other missions (Which are unacccesible currently though)

9 Waves to defend against

Rift are close to where you start the mission, 4 of them, can't be closed, everything happens in the town itself. You start near the NPCs.

BTW, we got a message saying the Emperor comes in 15 minutes.

I dont think there are any spirit rifts on U map, anyway heres my tiny necro soloing it for you. I actually managed to kill the first waves with some help of some boney thingys.

BTW, in each district he appears to show up at different times... District 19 was very fast. Newer districts are latest.. so I am now collecting my 6th and last mask... ^^

You DONT have to speak to the emperor, as long as you are HOLDING 250 orbs and are in the district that he is speaking at that time, you will get your mask. As soon as he says the sentence about the: those of you who collected 250 orbs... then your 250 orbs will be replaced by a mask.

They're dyeable. Will upload a screenshot later on. (there also is some sort of mini game going on where enemies invade the monastery)

Left one: Dyed silver
Right one: Original color

When the emperor arrives, sorcerers appear all around the Monastery while he slowly walks down the stairs from the courtyard. He heads for that strange Obelisk near the Storage and states some words about Canthan history. During this speech, he also mentions the 250 Jadeorbs and gives you the mask automatically. If you've not been there during this speech, you will have to either wait for another appearance or the promised NPCs.
Shortly after he ends his speech, the monastery is invaded by a "Fury", the minions of a shadow attack and Celestial Charges appear all around the monastery at fixed spawns. Some sort of minigame starts where you have to collect celestial charges and bring them to one of the many sorcerers. While the Grasp of Insanity creatures hunt you down. If they touch you, you die and they get a point.

After you've won the minigame, the emperor speaks some more words about the great empire and then starts throwing Gifts left and right (the ones you can also buy from Kao Tseng [Festival Prizes].

The fight is on Shaojiang Trail, the Rifts are below the arc where a Mantid Queen drops down from normally. You start at the rez shrine, but it is inactif. Again, 9 waves of enemies.

Screenshots,

76- The Fury, ordering his minions to flee when we won the minigame from him.
78- My mesmer with a dyed purple dragon mask. Presents rain from the skies, 1 landed next to her feet. These are the same as presents you get from tickets i think. I only found 9 presents, but in 3 of them was a sum of 1000 gold. The others were 2x 5orbs, 3 rice wine, 1 red bean cake.
80- My warrior with an undyed mask, next to cute monk with dyed mask.

The minigame: You get 15 minutes to bring Celestrial Lights (dunno exact name) to Sorcerors. There are at least 4 sorcerors on the map I know of. There are also Grasps running around and killing everyon holding the Lights. Much like the Christmas packages/grentches. Only this time you will die in town, and get resurrected after 10 secs at emperor. Dont go running around with a Light for the furthest Sorcerer. Watch the map for the closest. AND WATCH THE RADAR AGAIN! When you see a green dot running around, that is a grasp, which WILL go after you as long as you hold a Light. So what do you do when he is close? Yes, you drop the Light and pick it up again when he is gone. The Lights always spawn at the same locations, so just keep running back an fro to the sorcerer on a run you can make easily.

The reward: as said in the screenshots, we get some fireworks, presents and the Fury retreating.... doubt it will be the last we see of him.

I wonder what happens if we loose...
